This page used to contain Professor Engel's public speaking schedule. Times have changed, and Elliot now spends very little time lecturing on the road. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy Our Beloved Professor!
How to find Elliot:
The Email Newsletter
Be in the know on All Things Elliot Engel! Click the red link at the bottom of any page to sign up. Receive original essays, conference and seminar information, news about sales and new products/offerings, and anything else related to The Professor. Newsletters are sent every other Monday, with an extra issue now and then for special announcements.
The In Plain Engel-ish Blog
Ever since we were shut down by COVID in March of 2020, Elliot has been sending an original essay out every two weeks via his email newsletter. You can find them all on his blog, In Plain Engel-ish. The blog lives on this website and you can find a link to it in the main menu. You can also receive each essay (along with news, sales, and anything else Elliot Engelly!) in your inbox every other week by subscribing to his newsletter at the bottom of the website.
Shelf Improvement Book Club (Part 3 coming soon!)
The Shelf Improvement Book Club is a series of four delightful audio lectures given by Elliot and based on a work of literature. Each series includes an overview of the author and his or her life, two lectures on the work itself, and a question-and-answer lecture based on questions sent in by you, the audience. The series is sold as a complete set, but it is delivered to you in four parts as each one is recorded and produced. You can choose from a physical CD or digital streaming format. Previous series were REBECCA by Daphne DuMaurier and CATHER IN THE RYE by J.D. Salinger. Coming up for Part Three: the play LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT by Euguene O'Neill. Watch for the announcement on the website and on the email newsletter!

On a ZOOM Lecture
It's not in person, but you could say it's the next best thing: ZOOM! The COVID shutdown spurred Elliot to give virtual lecturing a try, and it's been a big hit with many groups on his lecture circuit. If you would like to hire Elliot to speak virtually to your group, contact him directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you belong to a group that has enjoyed Elliot in person before or would like to host him in the future, let your organizer know about this option. He is amazingly adept at delivering a lecture to a virtual audience, and he "stays" for a question and answer session at the end!
